It took me 9.5 hrs to complete the single player and only one mission (#10) truly challenged me and I had to re-try after getting defeated 3 times. However, unlike popular RTS games such as Age of Empires or Total War, the gameplay is basic and offers little challenge at the 'Normal' difficulty. You can build different units: infantry, vehicles, and air and upgrade them through research and resources.
Like other RTS games, you must develop a strategy to gather and utilize resources in the best possible manner and build an army capable of defeating the enemy within the given time.
During its 15 mission long campaign, you will build bases and armies and win battles against the Covenant in order to stop them getting their hands on powerful ships that have the potential to destroy humanity.
